Fall of Freedom: Creative Resistance
Pop Up Exhibition
OCT 3 & 4

CONTEMPORARY ARTS OF TULSA – CAT joins in solidarity with hundreds of organizations around the country to stand up to this oppressive administration.
The Trump administration has targeted domestic and international cultural entities through funding restrictions, leadership overhauls, and content mandates that advocacy groups describe as ideological censorship and soft censorship. Rather than formally "banning" discrete private groups, the administration has exerted pressure on federally funded and prominent national institutions such as The Smithsonian Institution Museums, The National Portrait Gallery, The National Endowment for the Arts, The National Endowment for the Humanities, The Kennedy Center, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting just to name a few. WE NEED TO VOICE OUR PROTEST AND TO VOTE AGAINST THIS MADNESS IN NOVEMBER. AND JOIN CAT IN CONTRIBUTING TO THE NATIONAL STAND AGAINST CENSORSHIP IN THE ARTS!
Artists around the country are organizing events, making zines, and planning performances for next month’s Fall of Freedom, a “wave of creative resistance” in defiance of authoritarianism. And you’re invited to participate. Making art requires freedom and is a form of anti-fascism in which we fundamentally resist the forces that are attempting to shift access to individual and community rights and the rule of law.
Contemporary Arts of Tulsa is holding an open “Fall of Freedom: Creative Resistance” Pop Up Exhibition & “Times They Are A’Changin’ Protest Concert. The exhibition is open to all ages. It is an uncensored open invitation for Artwork that are referencing what is going on today with our Freedoms.
