THE JURORS: All works will be co-juried by Tulsa artist, Sara Anais and CAT Director, Steve Liggett who will be looking for wonderful Art that fit the theme of the exhibit.  She says about what she’ll be looking for: “I’m looking for original creative work in any type of medium that examines how food reflects the artist’s culture. I want a personal story. I’m looking beyond a still-life painting; I want a glimpse into the artist, their family, and their history. To me, food represents our humanity: we all have to eat, but we each do it differently. I’d love to see that reflected in the artwork.”

Sara Anais is a Tulsa-based multidisciplinary Mexican-American artist working in mixed media, painting, and storytelling. She is currently developing a series that examines the connection we all share by being alive and the absurdity of human existence. She depicts a combination of food and anatomy through sculptures and oil paintings that celebrate the playful spirit of everyday life. Sara’s work has been featured in 20 group exhibitions around Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Chicagoland area. She holds a BA in Biological//Pre-Medical Illustration from Iowa State University.

All shipping of artwork purchased will be through the UPS Store who will package and ship all works at the buyers’ expense.
